To find your perfect size measure yourself, just follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Measuring your band size

  • Measurements should be taken without wearing a bra as this will give the most accurate measurement.
  • Using a tape measure, place the tape around your body, ensuring the tape is level around your back.
  • The tape should be firm but not tight against the body.
  • If the tape slips when measuring do not try to wriggle it back in position, just start again.
  • This measurement will give you the band size of the bra needed.

Use this table to find out your back size.

If your measurement is equal to the MINIMUM you may need to go down a band size.
If your measurement is equal to the MAXIMUM you may need to go up a band size.
If your measurement is equal to the centrer size you will need the band size indicated.

Min in inches Center in inches Max in inches Band Size in inches
24.5 25.5 26.5 30
26.5 27.5 28.5 32
28.5 29.5 30.5 34
30.5 31.5 32.5 36
32.5 33.5 34.5 38
34.5 35.5 36.5 40

Step 2: Cup size

To obtain your cup size; Using a tape measure, measure around the bust at the fullest point, holding the tape measure straight but not tight.

The difference between this measurement and your BAND size is your cup size. Each inch of difference is equal to one cup size. For example, if your band size is 34" and your bust measurement is 35", you should wear an "A" cup.

If the difference is...

less than 1 inch = AA cup
1 inch = A cup
2 inches = B cup
3 inches = C cup
4 inches = D cup
5 inches = DD cup
6 inches = E cup
7 inches = F cup
8 inches = FF cup
9 inches = G cup

Step 3: How to know if a bra fits

We want you to be completely happy with your Shock Absorber sports bra.

So to make sure it is doing its job properly, just follow these simple steps to find your perfect fit:

  • If the breasts are forced towards to the sides or bulging over the top of the cups, then the cup size is too small.
  • If the cup of the bra wrinkles all over, it shows that the cup size is too big and a smaller cup size is needed.
  • If the band of the bra does not sit straight around the body and rides upwards at the back, then the band size is too big.
  • The band of the bra should be firm but not too tight.
  • The shoulder straps should be properly adjusted to minimize bounce.
  • Finally, the 'jump test' is probably the best way to test how effective a bra is at reducing bounce – so please have a bounce around.
